SOFTBALL (TUES.)

The Cashmere Bulldogs defeated the visiting Cascade Kodiaks by the score of 13-3 on Tuesday.  The Bulldogs are now 3-0 in Caribou Trail League play, and 5-2 overall.  The Bulldog offense remained red-hot on Tuesday as senior catcher Elizabeth High was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI, and scored 2 runs.  Stormi O’Keefe was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI, and junior Molly High blasted a 2-run home run in the 5th inning to end the game due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Cashmere will face a stiff test on Thursday when they travel to Ephrata to play the Tigers, who have a 6-0 record this season.

BASEBALL (TUES.)

Senior Brayden Weatherman tossed a no-hitter (7IP, 0R, 0H, 17K, 3BB) on Tuesday as the Bulldogs shut-out Okanogan 6-0 to improve their season record to 4-2.  Weatherman needed to 105 pitches to go the distance in his 17 strikeout masterpiece.

The Bulldog offense was led by junior Cole Scott who was 3 for 4 with a RBI, and freshman Cade Wilkinson was 2 for 2 with a double and a RBI.  Senior catcher Duke Odenrider was 1 for 3 and drove in two runs.

Cashmere will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Quincy for a CTL double header.

BOYS SOCCER (TUES.)

The Cashmere Bulldogs boys soccer team traveled to Eastmont on Tuesday night to face the 4A Wildcats and fell by the score of 3-1.  The Bulldogs struck first in the 21st minute to take a 1-0 lead when Cashmere’s Oscar Orozco took a shot from 20 yards out that hit the cross bar, and was collected by senior Ty Schoening who scored to give Cashmere a 1-0 lead.  The Bulldogs led 1-0 at halftime.  Three minutes into the 2nd half Eastmont tied the score at 1-1, and they added their second goal n the 69th minute, and shortly thereafter they scored their 3rd goal to win the contest 3-1.

Cashmere will host Brewster on Saturday.

TENNIS (MON.)

The Cashmere Bulldogs defeated the visiting Omak Pioneers on Monday on both the boys’ and girls’ sides.  The girls remain undefeated this season with a perfect 3-0 record.  On Tuesday the Cashmere girls defeated Omak 5-0 with singles players Lauren Kert (6-0, 6-0), Faith Kert (6-0, 6-0) and Ellie Martin (6-0, 6-1) picking up victories.  In doubles, Katelyn Cooper and Lexi Neu won 6-2, 6-0, and Miranda Sites and Sophie Graybill won 6-0, 6-0.

The Cashmere boys defeated Omak by the score of 3-2.  Kane Andruss won his match in 1st singles by the scores of 6-0, 6-0, and JJ Groner won in 3rd singles by the score of 6-0, 6-0.

The Bulldog’s tennis team will head to Cascade on Wednesday to face the Kodiaks.
